Hotel Agli Alboretti
Located in the elegant Dorsoduro district, the Agli Alboretti hotel is a family run 3 star family run by passion and professionalism by Anna Linguerri’s owner, assisted by a staff whose collaboration has been going on for many years.
Offer a relaxing stay in the tranquil and elegant atmosphere of an ancient Venetian residence located a few steps from the Gallerie dell’Accademia, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and a few minutes from Saint Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge.
It is also close to public transport, quinidas easily reachable from Piazzale Roma, the train station, the motorboat to the airport and also convenient for excursions to the lagoon islands (Burano, Murano, Torcello).
The hotel has 23 rooms furnished with nineteenth-century or marine-style furniture, all newly refurbished, with private facilities, satellite TV, wireless Internet access, mini bar and summer air conditioning.
The rooms overlook either the wide Rio Terrà Foscarini or some private gardens, including the hotel where breakfast is served during the summer. The hotel has a lift connecting the four floors of the building to the common terrace where guests can sit and relax.
The curious name of the hotel comes from the “alberetti” that were planted along the road “Rio Terrà Foscarini” when the existing Canal was buried and transformed into the street at the end of the 19th century. The Venetians are not used to having trees along the “calli” and have started calling it the “trees of the trees”, in Venetian “arboretti”.
